What is a CVX code?

The NCIRD developed and maintains CVX. CVX is a HL7 standard code set. The codes are used for immunization messages with either HL7 2.3.1 or HL7 2.5.1. CVX includes approximately 200 active and inactive vaccine terms for the United States (US). It also indicates a vaccine’s current availability and the last update time for the vaccine code.

What is an MVX code?

The MVX code is an alphabetic string that identifies the manufacturer of that vaccine. Taken together, the immunization can be resolved to a trade name (the proprietary name of the product). For example, a CVX code of 43 represents Hepatitis B, adult formulation.

What is VC 15?

VC 15 contains L-ascorbic acid at a concentration of 15%. It is a stable formulation with a pH of 2.7. VC 15 promises to be non-irritating and non-comedogenic. It is available in a bottle of 15 ml along with a dropper.
